How to Install Web-web on Ubuntu 1. Create the Ansible project On your Ansible control machine: mkdir ~/webcheck-ansible cd ~/webcheck-ansible nano inventory Add your Ubuntu server: [webcheck] YOUR_SERVER_IP ansible_user=root Test the connection: ansible -i inventory webcheck -m ping You should see: "ping": "pong" 2. Create the Ansible playbook nano webcheck.yml Use this: --- - name: Install Web-Check on Ubuntu hosts: webcheck become: true tasks: - name: Install Docker ansible.builtin.apt: name: - docker.io - docker-compose-v2 state: present update_cache: true - name: Start Docker ansible.builtin.service: name: docker state: started enabled: true - name: Run Web-Check ansible.builtin.command: cmd: docker run -d --name web-check --restart unless-stopped -p 3000:3000 lissy93/web-check The official project currently publishes the lissy93/web-check Docker image, and the documented container port is 3000. 3. Run the playbook ansible-playbook -i inventory webcheck.yml Ansible will automatically: Ubuntu ↓ Install Docker ↓ Start Docker ↓ Download Web-Check image ↓ Create Web-Check container ↓ Start Web-Check 4. Check that Web-Check is running SSH into your Ubuntu server: ssh root@YOUR_SERVER_IP Then: docker ps You should see a container called: web-check You can also check the logs: docker logs web-check 5. Open Web-Check From your computer's browser: http://YOUR_SERVER_IP:3000 5. Open Web-Check From your computer's browser: http://YOUR_SERVER_IP:3000 You should now see the Web-Check interface. Useful commands Stop Web-Check: docker stop web-check Start it again: docker start web-check Start it again: docker start web-check Restart it: docker restart web-check Remove it: docker rm -f web-check Update the Web-Check image: docker pull lissy93/web-check docker rm -f web-check docker run -d --name web-check --restart unless-stopped -p 3000:3000 lissy93/web-check
