What is cPanel

cPanel is short for Control Panel and is a fully featured popular web-based hosting account control panel that allows you to manage domain, email and website settings, through a web browser interface.

The idea of the control panel is to enable you to manage every-day domain and website hosting tasks immediately, instead of requesting help from our support staff (though we are always here to help you when you need it).  In this way, you are able to perform simple jobs without waiting.

For example, you can:

  • set up email accounts, email forwarding options and more
  • create new file folders or delete unwanted website files,
  • create or restore backups,
  • setup additional FTP accounts,
  • install scripts,
  • set up MySQL databases
  • check on daily website traffic statistics
  • check your hosting account performance
  • and a lot more!

Every hosting account comes with access to cPanel - to access your cPanel account you will need to enter your website URL into your web-browser address field (e.g. https://www.example.com), then append this to the end of the domain /cpanel- like this;

www.example.com/cpanel  (replace example.com with your website address)

You will need your cPanel login username and password.  This was sent to you in the Web Hosting Welcome email that you should have received when you opened your hosting account with us.  If you can't find the welcome email, please open a support ticket and we will send you a reminder.
