General Email Client Settings (Outlook, Eudora, Thunderbird, Mac, iPad, Phone) Print

  • 0

The following instructions provide a general setup guide for various email clients. While these settings work for most third-party email clients like Outlook, Eudora, Thunderbird, iPad, and more, they may not be compatible with every email program.

Important: Be sure to replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name when configuring your email client.

Email Configuration Settings

  • Display Name: Any name you prefer

  • Email Address: Full email address (e.g., name@yourdomain.com)

  • Account Type: POP3 or IMAP (What’s the difference?)

  • Incoming Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com / emabaleli.sive.host / ekhaya.sive.host

  • Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.com / emabaleli.sive.host / ekhaya.sive.host

  • Authentication Required for Outgoing Mail: Yes

Port Settings

Connection Type Incoming Mail Port Outgoing Mail Port
POP3 110 25*
IMAP 143 25*

Note:

  • If port 25 does not work, try 26, as some ISPs block port 25.

  • For Comcast/Xfinity Internet customers, ports 25 and 26 are blocked—use port 587 instead.

Additional Settings

  • SSL: Do not enable SSL for these settings

  • Username/Account Name: Full email address (e.g., name@yourdomain.com). If this does not work, try replacing @ with + (e.g., name+yourdomain.com).

  • Password: Your email password

  • Secure Password Authentication (SPA): Do NOT use SPA
